Cataphoresis or anaphoresis system permits to apply the paint by electrodeposition and it is one of the most innovative method and with lowest environmental impact. Cataphoresis and anaphoresis are essentially the same method, they differ only on the polarity of the process.
In the anaphoresis the part has the function of anode while in the cataphoresis the part has the function of cathode, hence, two different kinds of paint are used depending on the method used.
In projecting and realizing our anaphoric systems we achieved important results in reduction of gaseous and liquid effluents resulting from the process. Closed circuit ultrafiltration modules, carefully calibrated, permit an optimal washing of the handmade without using additional water supplies. ![]()
For these reasons our customers, who pay always more attention to the accurate management of the resources, ask for this new applying system and excellent results have been achieved on great installation where a protective film is required to apply on it finishing coats with liquid or powder painting.
This technology requires the immersion of the part in the treating pool and always guarantees a perfect painting even in the case of hard-to-reach points of the part; moreover, the adhesion to the handmade is done by electrodeposition, hence the protective film has a perfect uniformity as well as a chemical resistance and toughness not easily reachable with common application methods.
A careful evaluation of the energetic quantities needed to achieve the right development of all the phases mentioned above is the essential element of the electrodeposition device; that’s why a huge attention is dedicated to the right dimensioning of the components dedicated to this function.
In addition, to reach a perfect painting, it is necessary to evaluate carefully all the phases of the process:
- Electrophoresis: the motion of the micelles in the colloidal mixture under application of electric field;
- Elecrolysis: the chemical desegregation of the mixture under the influence of direct current;
- Electrocoagulation: the coagulation of these micelles on the handmade caused by the action of the direct current;
- Electro-osmosis: the expulsion of the liquid solution, water and solvents through the dry residue remaining by means of the influence of the electric field, before the handmade is taken out of the pool.

Our anaphoric systems are required and used by car industry, car accessorises industry, for mechanical parts production, metal furniture and home appliances production.
Usually our anaphoric painting systems are used on steel parts and all metal handmade with a certain level of conductivity. For aluminium products a specific pre-treatment is needed.
Advantages
One of the most important advantages of anaphoric system is the finest result of dry paint which can exceed 90%, moreover using water paint, concentration of emissions in the atmosphere are inferior respect to any other kind of liquid paint application and the use of those materials avoids almost totally fire risk.
